MEL COOPER AWARD (CITIZEN OF THE YEAR) - an individual who has shown outstanding citizenship, usually through many years of contributions to the community.
COMMUNITY LEADER OF THE YEAR - an individual who has made major contributions to the community through his or her efforts in a leadership role.
BUSINESS LEADER OF THE YEAR - an individual who has shown leadership in the area of business and through activities outside of business, which benefit the community.
ARTS LEADER OF THE YEAR - an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the arts in our community.
SPORTS LEADER OF THE YEAR - an individual who has made outstanding contributions to local sport, usually as an organizer or support person rather than as an athlete.
YOUTH LEADER OF THE YEAR - an individual age 17 or younger who has demonstrated exemplary qualities of leadership and good citizenship.
TEAMWORK AWARD - a group or team that has made major contributions to the community by working together effectively.
911 AWARD - awarded specifically to a member of the paramedic, fire or police profession for their outstanding contribution to making our community a safer place in which to live.
