Organizers are expecting around 40,000 people in Victoria's Inner Harbour for this afternoon and evening for the Symphony Splash festivities.
Family friendly events start as early as noon and the main concert starting at 7:30pm. It all culminates with the fireworks show at 9:45.
Jill Similiie with Victoria Symphony says it’s all about showcasing themselves to the community.
“We have the floating barge that towed into the inner harbor and the Symphony plays about a two hour show in the outdoors. “
New this year is a beer Garden located at Belleville and Government Street.
People are asked to enter by donation.
Just like this Canada day, Victoria Police will be using cameras in discreet places around the Inner Harbour to track activities.
