BC's Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services has opened public consultations on Budget 2021.
The committee wants to hear from residents about their priorities, and solutions to the challenges they are experiencing. Input is especially critical this year as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact families and communities.
Public hearings start today (Monday, June 1) by video/teleconference. Residents can also participate through written, audio or video submissions -- or you can fill out an online survey by the last Friday by 5 p.m.
The committee aims to release its report with recommendations in time for the next provincial budget in August.
Details on all the ways to participate are available by contacting the Parliamentary Committees Office at 250 356-2933 or 1 877 428-8337 (toll-free in B.C.) or on the committee's website: https://bcleg.ca/FGSbudget
