BC's largest cruise ship arrived at Ogden Point Friday morning on her inaugural voyage to Alaska.
Built in Germany - The Norwegian Cruise Line vessel was launched into service on April 21.
Ian Robertson, CEO of the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority lays out some of the specs for the massive vessel.
"She is 20 decks high, and just over 300 metres long, or the length of three football fields. On this particular cruise she has about 2700 passengers with the capacity to handle up to about 4200 passengers. It's the biggest one so far, it's the biggest one on the West Coast, the most environmentally-friendly ship to sail the West Coast up to Alaska."
Robertson says the Norwegian Bliss has 27 dining rooms and a giant go-kart track.
The Norwegian Bliss will dock in Victoria every Friday from June to October, bringing up over 42-hundred passengers and 15-hundred crew to the city of Victoria per call.
More than 1,000 travel agents were onboard for the inaugural sail on this route, and spent the day touring Greater Victoria.
