The BC SPCA is hoping to identify two men who were spotted dumping an elderly, injured cat out of a car window in Langford late Tuesday morning.
A woman walking along the 3000 block of Pickford Road around 11:20, saw two men in a grey sedan pull over, dump the cat out of the car window and drive away.
BC-SPCA senior animal protection officer Erika Paul says at first glance, the animal appeared to be dragging her hind legs.
Upon closer inspection, the woman found duct tape wrapped around the cat's stomach and hind legs.
A local veterinary clinic is determining the cause of the injury to her back legs and has treated the feline for a large abscess on her side.
Anyone with information is asked to call the BC SPCA animal cruelty hotline.
