Join Victoria-area animal lovers and their four-legged friends at the Dallas Rd. Waterfront Trail this Sunday for the BC SPCA's 2018 Paws for a Cause walk, presented by Hill's® Science Diet®. The Victoria walk is one of six Paws for a Cause events happening across the province.
In addition to the two-kilometre walk, there will be a dog-friendly beer garden area, food trucks, animal-related vendors, games and more.
All funds raised support the BC SPCA's life-saving work for abused, neglected, injured and homeless animals.
At 2:30 p.m., a gull who has been recuperating at the BC SPCA's wildlife rehabilitation centre in Metchosin, will be released back into the wild on the beach at the walk site - a unique opportunity to see wildlife rehabilitators at work.
Registration begins at 10 a.m. with the walk commencing at 11:30 a.m. For full walk details, visit spca.bc.ca/walk.
