Two young boys are being credited with ensuring everyone got out of a spectacular house fire on McClure Street Monday.
The heritage home was ablaze in minutes, and may have been due to an electrical fire that started in an old lamp on the porch of the home.
A woman was looking after her grandchildren at the time in the upstairs of the house, and there were tenants living downstairs.
One of the boys, who is only 13 years old, was instrumental in getting everyone out, including his grandmother, three-year-old brother and alerting the tenants downstairs. He was aided by his 16-year-old brother
Firefighters say the two young men did everything by the book.
There is no word yet on the amount of damage to the home.
