More traffic delays ahead for Victoria and area drivers.
Preparation for paving between Wharf Street and the new bridge begins today and will last 2 weeks. Councillor Marianne Alto says
Councillor Marianne Alto says the first shipment of steel is on the way and the public should brace themselves for more delays and work in the area until the job is completed. "When the final pieces come in and there attached as one unit that's when the final closures will begin because it will require such a massive amount of machinery to do that."
Drivers and cyclists are being warned to expect delays and congestion between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. until August the twelfth because of periodic lane closures.
The final paving will be done August 13th when bridge and road approaches between Harbour Road and Wharf Street will be closed from about 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
