Victoria's version of the Canada 150 party gets underway on Wednesday.
For 11 days, downtown Victoria will feature more than 100 live performances to commemorate Canada's 150th.
The Spirit 150 will feature family friendly activities, multi-cultural performances and local food vendors.
The main performance stages will be open daily with one at Ship Point and one at the Legislature.
Artists like Tegan and Sarah and the Arkells are scheduled to perform.
It will all culminate with fireworks on the evening of July 1st.
The City of Victoria received over $400,000 in federal funding for the mega party.
Victoria Police have already said they have been planning for months in advance for the festivities and will have many police officers deployed.
