A small Cessna plane has crashed just north of Duncan airport. The plane struck power lines in the vicinity of the airport and crashed into a field.
Bill Yearwood with the Transportation Safety Board says, "two people were aboard the Cessna 172 when it went down, a pilot and instructor from the Victoria Flying Club."
One of the occupants managed to get out of the plane under their own power and is walking and talking. The other was trapped inside.
Victoria Flying Club spokesperson Ramona Reynolds says both pilots survived and are being take to Victoria General; Hospital for treatment. Their names and extent of injuries has not been released.
Meantime the TSB is assessing the crash and will likely send investigators to the scene of the crash.

The Transportation Safety Board is assessing the situation and an investigation has begun.
