What better time to start spreading holiday cheer with just over a month left before Christmas.
Dave Johnston, who calls himself the Giant Bubble Man, can be seen in the downtown core launching giant bubbles into the air. And, these bubbles are massive.
CTV Vancouver Island caught up with Johnston in Centennial Square and asked him why he does it.
"I don't know if I can answer why, but it clearly does, and I get a big kick out of seeing people enjoy themselves."
Johnston says he's been launching the giant bubbles for entertainment for about three years and says he leaned how to do it off of Youtube.
"This is just a homemade recipe with dish soap and water and its cotton rope on some bamboo sticks and that's all there is to it."
Johnston says his hobby is transferable to others--anyone can do it in their backyard, or even public places.
