All outgoing flights from Harbour air's Victoria terminal have been cancelled for the remainder of the day due to low visibility from smoke.
Spokesperson Samantha Kent says Harbour Air implements these precautionary safety measures whenever visibility is reduced by smoke or fog.
All flights will return to normal schedules when visibility improves.
A state of emergency due to the wild fires was put in place in British Columbia on August 15th, there are over 450 fires burning in the province.
54 are currently burning on Vancouver Island.
