A sensitive mental health issue was behind a hold and secure at 2 area schools Thursday morning.
The issue unfolded outside Spectrum Secondary School, and forced Spectrum and nearby Marigold Elementary to lock their doors. No one was allowed to come or go while police dealt with the situation outside.
The School District tweeted out that the incident was of a "sensitive nature"-- but did not eleborate. They also asked the public not to film the school or speculate on what was happening.
Saanich Police say the incident was safely concluded just before 11:00 am, but have refused further comment.
