Low ridership has led to Langford cancelling the Langtoria Greenline bus service.
The service was started back in September by Wilsons Transportation and the City of Langford, offering a coach seat, coffee and WIFI service.
“I think the message here is that you can’t force people out of their cars even though you can give them all the creature comforts,” said Mayor Stew Young.
Young says they only had 18 users and wanted a minimum of 35 by the six month mark.
The mayor says it's time continue to look at ways to improve the movement on the roads with looking at other options like an E&N rail commuter, an H-O-V lane, and widening the highway where they can.
Langford also cancelled its longstanding trolley service because of lack of ridership.
