Twenty students from local schools painted a mural on the B.C. education minister's office, which was revealed today.
The collaboration by local mural artist Kay Gallivan and the students from Reynolds Secondary School, Victoria High School, Esquimalt High School, and Lansdowne Middle School is designed to represent diversity.
The theme of the mural was "What does Community mean to you" and was created with feedback from the schools and community.
“I’m so inspired by these students who came together from different schools just a short while ago, and worked collaboratively to create such a beautiful and vibrant piece of art,” said Rob Fleming, B.C.’s education minister. “This mural will be enjoyed by our community for years to come.”
