The Yukon Cononer is confirming a man charged with sending a mail bomb to his brother died in a Whitehorse jail over the weekend.
According to the coroner 73 year old Leon Nepper went into medical distress Sunday was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Nepper was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and possessing and sending an explosive device in connection to a mail bomb that injured his brother Roger in Port Alice earlier this month.
An autopsy will be performed in Vancouver later this week.
Roger Nepper suffered severe injuries, including the loss of several fingers, when he opened the package on Sept. 11th.
