A pair of Vancouver Island brothers are pretty happy they stopped at the South Duncan Bench Road Co-op in Duncan and picked up a Golden Treasures scratch Lottery ticket. Daniel and Kenneth Boylan, 28 and 29 years of age, are now the newest millionaires on Vancouver Island, and they have the distinction of winning the biggest scratch prize in provincial history.
Daniel, of Mill Bay, and Kenneth of Cobble Hill, couldn't believe their eyes when their scratch ticket revealed they had won $2.5 Million. They stopped the car and exchanged high-fives as well as brotherly hugs and kisses, and haven't stopped smiling since.
The brothers plan to buy their parents a new home on the water, pay off some bills, and want to buy some property in the area to develop saying they live in the most beautiful towns and want to stay close to home.
Ken has a fiance, 3 children, and one of the way. He says the cash will help pay for an impending wedding. Doug says he may take a trip to Vegas for his birthday in December. IN any case the brothers say the lotto win is a big game changer for them.
