BC Ferries' newest vessel, the Salish Eagle, is arriving at Ogden Point Monday.
The ferry just completed a voyage from Poland, where it was built, and it will stay at Ogden Point while clearing a Canadian Customs inspection before the ship is officially handed over to BC Ferries.
Then, Tuesday, Salish Eagle leaves Ogden Point on its way to BC Ferry's Richmond refit facility. By June, it will be running on the Tsawwassen – Southern Gulf Islands route.
This is one of three new BC Ferry vessels built in Poland. The Salish Orca arrived earlier this year and the Salish Raven has not yet left Europe.
