A new high-end bus service will start running between Langford and downtown Victoria next month.
Langford has entered into an agreement with Wilson Transportation to establish the Langtoria Greenline service, which will start with one bus with a capacity of 50 passengers.
Mayor Stew Young says they're hoping the service will ease some of the congestion that will ramp up when work begins on the new McKenzie Interchange.
"Hopefully, maybe people will get out of their cars in the West Shore a bit and go on this bus, and maybe we can take some cars out. It's not going to make it really any faster, but it might reduce some of the congestion. That's all I can really do."
Young says Langford residents will be able to to sign-up for the service for around $100-dollars a month, and onboard perks include free coffee, newspapers, and Wi-Fi.
