A debate over who gets priority enrollment in the Greater Victoria School District is continuing.
A recent survey found that parents thought priority enrollment should be higher for students going to child attending a neighbourhood catchment school over siblings going to the same school at the same time.
Many parents are taking issue with the thought of not having their kids at the same school.
Superintendent Piet Langestraat says nothing right now nothing is set in stone: “Our committee continues to meet to reflect on that feedback.”
Langestraat says the biggest issue here is the French immersion program where it will prove difficult right now to appease everyone.
The board met on Tuesday night to look at other options, like finding a committee to look at finding a way to re-opening old schools to relieve the congestion.
