Several children's pain and fever relief syrups are being recalled across Canada, because of defective child-resistant safety caps.
The voluntarily recall involves several over-the-counter strawberry-flavoured acetaminophen syrups labeled as Biomedic and Option+ or Laboratoires Trianon Inc.
The issue is related to product packaging only.
Early signs of overdose include nausea, vomiting, lethargy and sweating. An acetaminophen overdose can cause liver damage in extreme cases.
