One police officer, 3 civilians, and the attacker are confirmed dead after an apparent terror attack in London, England Wednesday. Officials say the death toll stands at 5, with as many as 40 people injured after after a car rammed into pedestrians on Westminster bridge.
Meantime, there are three groups of School District 61 students in Britain right now. The students and teachers are nowhere near the Parliament district where the incident occurred.
A group of Spectrum students left London Wednesday morning.
40 students from Reynolds Secondary, along with 5 chaperones, were planning to travel from Stratford on Avon to London Thursday, but will now stay where they are.
District Supt. Piet Langstraat says discussions are underway as to how to get those students home, since they'd planned to fly out of London.
Students from Vic High are in Lucerne, they had visited London earlier.
