The search for a missing elderly man missing from a BC ferry has now been called off.
The 80-year-old man boarded the 9 p.m. sailing from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen Thursday night, according to BC Ferries.
When the ferry docked and unloaded, staff found a vehicle with no driver in it on the car deck.
A search of the vessel was undertaken, but the man wasn't located.
Joint Rescue Coordination Centre and Delta Police initiated a search of the ferry route, but efforts have now been called off.
There have been no video or reports of anyone going overboard.
