BC Ferries is having to make some changes due to one of its fleet being taken out of service.
The Spirit of Vancouver Island, which operates on BC Ferries' Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen route, remains out of service due to a hydraulic issue and will remain in dry dock for one week for repairs.
As a result, BC Ferries is running a modified sailing schedule from March 30th to April 2nd, with cancellations of 11 of its 57 sailings.
The ferry corporation says customers with reservations on these sailings are being notified and accommodated on the next available sailing. It's also added additional sailings on the Tsawwassen - Duke Point route for customers who might want to consider that route as an alternative.
BC Ferries says weekend ferry traffic is expected to be busy this weekend, and if you want to travel with a specific sailing time in mind, you can make a reservation at 1-888-BCFerry.
