Airport officials at Victoria International say there are no injuries after a small plane had mechanical issues while landing on Friday afternoon.
Airport spokesperson James Bogusz says it was just before 1:00pm when the single engine aircraft had problems on the main runway.
“Unfortunately the landing gear or a portion of the landing gear appeared to have failed and as a result of that, there was definitely an aircraft emergency.”
Bogusz says there were three people on board at the time, all unharmed.
The airport's main runway has been shut down while officials hope to have the aircraft towed away shortly.
In the meantime, flights are taking off and landing on alternate runways.
