A 31 year old man is in hospital fighting for his life after an accident near the intersection of Gorge Rd West and Donald St. at 11:30 Wednesday morning.
According to Saanich Police an eastbound 2003 Chevrolet Suburban appears to have gone off the road, mounting the sidewalk and striking the man, before continuing into the park and stopping in the bushes.
The driver, a 25 year old Saanich woman, was also taken to hospital, but her injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Police ask any witnesses to come forward.
