The City of Victoria has a new cycling path in its sites, and staff are seeking feedback.
The new bike path, which will run along Vancouver Street from Bay Street to Dallas Road will run through Beacon Hill Park and connect the Fort and Pandora lanes with the Humbolt bike lane.
A series of open houses are being held this week to receive feedback from the public and business owners between the hours of 4 and 7pm.
The city will hold public engagement sessions at the Fernwood Café (1105 Caledonia) on Tuesday, the Cook Street Activity Centre (380 Cook St) on Wednesday, and at City Hall on Thursday.
Those wanting to give their thoughts on the proposed bike lane can attend the meetings, or participate in an online survey.
The preliminary design for the Vancouver Street lane features a mix of protected bike lanes on busy downtown streets and shared-use neighbourhood bikeways on traffic-calmed streets.
