Victoria's Fire Department are honing their skills as they prepare to launch a valuable tool for emergency management.
After months of training members of the Victoria Fire Department and Emergency management program launched their drone in downtown Victoria Sunday.
Dan Atkinson with Victoria's Fire Department says, "these drones have a number of uses. Right now we're taking stills; video and 3d mapping for the engineering department so they can see a before and after of the Pandora bike lane."
Victoria's Fire Department joins Langford Fire Department, they started using drones in 2015.
